Day 6September 13, 2000
In the morning, we drove south up the hill into Olympic National Park, up to Hurricane Ridge. There, we parked our car, put on our hiking boots and walked up to Hurricane Hill, from where we had a beautiful view of the Olympic Mountains on the south side and the Juan de Fuca Strait all the way to Victoria on Vancouver Island on the north side. In the far northeast, we could even see the distant volcano shape of Mt Baker. In the afternoon, we got in our car again and drove back down to Port Angeles, where we waited for the evening run of the MV Coho ferry to Victoria.
